This Design South East organised event challenged speakers to share their current thoughts on development in our county using the rapid fire Pecha-Kucha format of presentation.
Kent has a unique location with excellent links to London and the continent so for many people Kent is now a place to pass through whilst for others it’s role and identity is more about continuity, home and the garden of England. Kent is the most populous county in the UK and is projected to grow substantially over the next decade. Andrew Clague in his presentation focused on the design challenges associated with Kent’s changing identity in the context of major housing, settlement and infrastructure growth. Only with absolute commitment to Plackemaking will the county deliver the desirable places to live, work and grow sustainably that we all want.
Many thanks to Chris and the team at Design South East for organising this excellent and well attended event. We look forward to upcoming events.
