Clague proposed a high quality, serviced office facility that could act as an ‘incubator’ for new and establishing businesses, in particular those that deal in new technologies. This was the second phase of a concept, instigated by Medway Council following the successful initial development within the BAE Rochester site.
The 30,000sq.ft Innovation Centre comprises modulated modern office spaces for small businesses, as well as a large, open plan second floor suite for a blue chip tenant. The offices are supported by a permanently manned reception area and post room, plus a substantial café, a formal 75 seat business conference suite and a number of informal lounges.
The three storey masonry and glass facility acts as a gateway building, working within constraints dictated by the A229 and nearby Rochester Airport.
