James joined Clague in 2011 and works within the conservation team.

James has worked on a number of specialist projects including repairs and reordering of medieval churches along with the production of QQ reports. James has also undertaken works to several listed buildings including conversions of farm buildings to new uses and the extension and alteration of private historic houses. Some of James’ most recent projects are Highgate Big School and Oxney Court and the high level structural roof repairs to St Cosmus & St Damian in the Blean, Kent.

Before joining Clague James worked for sole Practitioner Meryvn Gulvin in Bridge, Canterbury.
