Education architecture focuses on designing learning environments that support teaching and student wellbeing, ranging from nurseries and schools to colleges and universities. We consider how spaces like classrooms, libraries, labs and social areas function and connect to enhance the learning experience. Education masterplanning takes a broader view, shaping the long-term development of an entire site. It involves strategic planning of buildings, landscapes, access and infrastructure to ensure future growth and sustainability for future learning environments.
Clague works across a wide range of educational building types, including early years settings, primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities. Our services cover the full project lifecycle, starting with strategic brief development and site assessments, to planning applications, design and technical delivery. We offer specialist support in sustainable design, safeguarding, accessibility and long-term planning.
At Clague, we guide education projects from concept to completion with a collaborative, tailored approach. We begin by understanding your vision and site needs, then design flexible spaces that support learning. From planning and compliance to technical detailing and construction oversight, we ensure every stage runs smoothly, delivering functional environments built to last.
Clague provides full support through every stage of educational projects. We manage planning applications, ensuring compliance with educational and local authority requirements. Our detailed surveying informs efficient, site-sensitive design. In the technical stage, we deliver precise specifications covering structure, accessibility, sustainability and safety, ensuring high-quality results tailored to each learning environment.
Clague brings decades of experience in designing learning environments that are innovative, inclusive and ready for the future. We understand how educational spaces impact teaching, learning and wellbeing, and we work closely with schools, colleges and universities to deliver buildings that are both inspiring and practical. From early years to higher education, we tailor every design to the specific needs of students, staff and curriculum delivery, while ensuring flexibility for future growth.
