The scheme manages to achieve an above-average density of 37 dwellings per hectare, whilst still adhering to the comprehensive design and technical standards set out in the Essex Design Guide.
The site is a former industrial estate that has been recently allocated for housing, and was subject to two controversial planning refusals submitted by a national supermarket. Clague are proud to have worked closely with the developer and Braintree District Council to produce an attractive and viable residential scheme for the site, and look forward to planning determination in the near future.
This scheme is our second major residential planning application to Braintree District Council in the last 6 months, as we have recently received planning approval at committee for 50 new homes in Earls Colne (link to Earls Colne). Please click here to see more of our Residential & Masterplanning work.
