We are delighted that both planning approval and listed building consent has been granted for 3-4 Sun Street, Canterbury.
The proposal delivers revitalised commercial use at the ground and basement levels, whilst providing much needed apartments by converting the first floor, and extending with a new second floor.
The proposal reinstates the dominant historic roof line that can be seen in the historic maps.
The proposals are designed to enhance the street scene by removing inappropriate modern horizontal roof forms and replacing them with the construction of gables and pitched roofs with Kent peg tile covering that is appropriate to the immediate context and will match the surrounding medieval rooftops of Canterbury.
