Approval Granted for Historic Farmstead Redevelopment
Clague secure planning and listed building consent for 6 new homes and a large office at Tatlingbury Farm, Five Oak Green within the Metropolitan Greenbelt.
The farmstead dates from the 15th Century and forms a tight cluster of historic buildings, however, due to modern farming practices large modern agricultural sheds were built to provide adequate space for large machinery, these sheds have dominated the site with an overbearing presence for many years.
Having worked closely with our Clients, the Hadlow Estate, along with Goddard Planning Consultancy and Enplan we set out to reveal these wonderful structures and conserve them for future generations.
The project has 5 separate building types which have been harmonised through a simple pallet of materials, respecting the context of the site. We’re not sure which part of the project we are more excited about, The Kent barn, The Dutch Barn, The Stables or the Granary….
