As the world attempts to try to resume some version of normality, it’s time to reconnect with our peers, who we would normally interact with on a daily basis.
Whilst working from home we are all still very much present and working away, and the term out of sight out of mind, for the Clague Team, couldn’t be further from the truth.
To get the ball rolling, and slowly begin rebuilding the Clague community back at 62 Burgate, we are coming together in a safe manner with a relay across the county, connecting the Clague Team once again.
As most of you are aware, there is a severe shortage of donations in the charity domain. As the world came to a stand still, so did the donation pot. Therefore we are using this occasion to reboot our support for our Charity of the Year, The Pilgrims Hospice – www.pilgrimshospices.org
The Pilgrims Hospice is a facility that is very close to the hearts for most in Kent, and a charity that has supported us through our darkest of times. Now more than ever we need to support this charity. As we begin to emerge from the ‘stay at home’ phase, we will soon discover the number of people in Kent and beyond, who have seen delays in diagnosis for other ailments, some of whom will sadly become critical and require the assistance of the Hospice.
So here is the challenge of which we would greatly appreciate your support.
15 members of the Clague team have come together to take part in a relay across the county, using their daily exercise to reach different landmarks close to each others homes, this could take any form and may include the participant not leaving the house, as long as they cover the mileage and stay within Government guidelines between posts.
By the time the route is complete we will have covered the majority of Kent, reaching approximately 140 miles, with an elevation of approximately 6900ft. We will begin our journey in Dymchurch over the next couple of days, reaching places including Deal, Birchington and Faversham, drawing the journey to a close at 62 Burgate, the home of Clague Architects.
If you would like to support us in our venture and help us to make sure the Pilgrims Hospice can be there for those in need, please go to our just giving page on the following link…
Thank you for all your support, and please follow our progress as we complete our mission over the following days/weeks ahead!
