The scheme retains and extends a pair of semi detached properties currently housing 41 HMO beds on sensitive conservation area site. Clague undertook extensive pre planning consultation with the Cities planning and conservation officers to resolve planning and conservation issues prior to submission of a detailed planning application in June 2017.
The City Council planning committee resolved to grant consent by a clear 12-1 vote on 10th October 2017. Partner Pat Mills RIBA commented; ‘the strategy for early and extensive consultation with the local authority proved to be very beneficial and we are very pleased with the committees near unanimous support of this application which will return a significant, but tired, historical property to its former glory with a sustainable use ensuring its long term future’.
