Croft House – Granted Planning
The proposal is to introduce a new access point off High Lane and to construct a small 2 bay garage to the north which will serve 3 houses and garages set within clear woodland openings . The internal roadway provides access to 3 detached houses set into the open ground to the south west with the houses fanning out informally responding to the location of trees and their protection areas and view beyond. The houses have been designed to reflect their location within the woodland. Care has been taken with the building form and line to create a series of long, thin elements all of which run with the line of the slope rather than across the slope to create a series of roof lines and forms of differing height and scale. The scheme reflects the informality of the open woodland setting with a stepped roof formation, ridge lines and building groups which reflect narrow frontages with gaps and views between to open land beyond seeking to create a very light placement of building on the open ground.
