With the virtual baton firmly grasped, Managing Partner, Karl Elliott, begins his journey from St Margaret’s at Cliffe to Deal Pier, for the next leg of the Clague Reconnect Relay.

Karl has spent many an hour keeping the team together and informed throughout the pandemic, spending much needed time getting the Office cleaned and prepared to safely and gradually get the Clague Team back together where they belong.

Now Karl steps up for Pilgrims hospice, playing his part for the Reconnection of the team, setting off from St Margaret’s at Cliffe, he heads out by foot to begin the 7 mile walk to Deal Pier.

Upon setting off on his walk Karl crossed some sights and took some photo’s to document his journey.  An hour after stepping out of his front door a message was received announcing, ‘At Deal Pier, now for the walk home’.  Never one to cut corners, Karl turned on his heal and headed back, doubling the distance he was required to walk for the relay.

Most of us would have got a lift from the destination point with the job being complete, but not Mr Elliott, he did his bit… and then did a bit more.

With this in mind, and the double efforts from Karl, we ask kindly that you sponsor this epic cause and to please help us to raise as much money as we can for the for the Pilgrims Hospice.  Donations can be made on the following link https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/ClagueReconnect

Taking inspiration from Karl’s walk for the hospice, all that is left to say for this part of the relay is, ‘When blessed with the strength and ability to go the distance, why not go twice as far!’

Let the baton pass to Deal, where Architectural Technologist, Malcolm Parfitt, is strapping on his running shoes.
