Planning Approval Received for new Residential Development
We are pleased to confirm that the residential redevelopment of the former Thomas Peacocke School in Rye has recently received planning approval.
The proposal creates a high-quality residential development on derelict brown field land, and has been tested continually against the constraints and opportunities of the site, with ongoing consultation with the local planning authority and the environment agency. This ensures the development befits its location in the historic port town of Rye.
Tim Wolfe-Murray, partner at Clague Architects, explains: “At the heart of the scheme is a green space based on Church Square in Rye. The space is defined by buildings along all edges, with a landmark apartment building acting as a focal point, and a series of terraced townhouses continuing vistas further north.”
We look forward to seeing work commence on-site next year.
