Planning permission granted for remodelling and extension to historic cottage, Canterbury
We recently obtained planning approval for the remodelling and extension to Bell Cottage in Canterbury. The property is curtilage listed as it is adjacent a Grade II listed red brick gate post.
The project aims to remodel the existing home to make the space more accessible for wheelchair access. A contemporary, zinc clad extension to the rear of the property was proposed to allow for access to a W.C. at ground level.
Clague’s input into the scheme was to acquire a brief, site analysis, understand the constraints and opportunities, produce concept design, and finally develop the drawings for a successful planning approval. We are now working on RIBA Stage 4, the technical design stage, and look forward to being on site in late September.
