After the relay gets off to a hurtling roll, the baton is passed to the Folkestone pair, who make their way to St Margaret’s at Cliffe, this time in a more conventional manner, on their bikes.
Partner, Stuart Bonnage, and Architectural Technologist, Cheryl Warwick, team up on many Clague projects within the office, and this challenge sees them working together once again to complete the latest task at hand.
Stuart, a seasoned rider with a hobby in mountain biking, is happy to take on this challenge, leading the way with a 4 mile uphill battle from Folkestone to Cliff Top Café at Capel Le Ferne, where a less confident Cheryl was waiting to take over the next part of the ride alone, on a route she had never before ventured, to complete the 5.2 mile journey from Capel Le Ferne to Marine Parade, Dover.
On successfully reaching her destination without getting lost, Stuart again took over to complete the Relay Connection with the 4.3 miles to the Dover Patrol Memorial at St Margaret’s at Cliffe.
To see how Stuart and Cheryl achieved their goal we have attached a few images to allow you to take the journey with them.
Please feel free to congratulate the Folkestone duo in completing their task, we encourage you to sponsor them, and those yet to grab the baton, to enable us to raise as much money for the for the Pilgrims Hospice. With the first cycle of the relay out of the way, we will leave you with this thought, ‘Life is like riding a bicycle, in order to keep your balance, you must keep moving’
Let the baton pass to St Margaret’s at Cliffe…. Keep an eye out to see how Managing Partner, Karl Elliott, takes on the challenge.
