The two-day challenge saw the riders set off from Aylesford at 9am on Friday to pedal through the rolling hills of Kent, before boarding a ferry for an overnight stop in Calais.
On Saturday morning the team continued onwards to Poperinge, passing through the battlefield areas of the historic region, before finishing at Menin Gate in Ypres, Belgium – over 12 hours later!
The event took place to help fundraise for the RBLI’s landmark new Centenary Village. The Clague-designed masterplan delivers up to 100 new homes for RBLI beneficiaries, and we are proudly working on the next phase of technical work to help bring the project out of the ground later this year.
So far the cycle ride has raised over £24,000 in donations.
