The proposed development will deliver up to 63 new dwellings as part of a wider masterplan for Albert Road that has helped deliver a desperately needed new link road through North Deal. The approved scheme will offer a variety of high quality market houses, as well as ensuring the delivery of much-needed affordable housing for the area.

The Committee Report acknowledges that the Albert Road masterplan represents an opportunity for vital urban expansion, particularly in the context of Deal’s significant shortfall in 5 year housing land supply. This scheme goes a long way to helping solve the town’s housing shortage by bringing forward new family homes on a sustainable site on the urban fringe of the town.
