Kings Hill

Kings Hill is the redevelopment of a former WW2 airfield and is a developing success since construction started in 1990.

Kings Hill Map

Kings Hill has become a village with its own integrated residential community supported by a balanced mix of facilities set in a landscaped environment of almost 323 hectares (800 acres), with the residential areas linked by a network of footpaths and cycle ways. Just a short walk or cycle ride reaches the David Lloyd Leisure Centre, the golf club, the two schools or the thriving new village centre, with its range of good shops, cafés, restaurants, a public house, and its supermarket.

Kings Hill includes areas of clustered affordable housing of the highest quality, which blend with the private housing and offers interesting architectural forms to create a pleasant place for people to live.

For the residential and some of the retail areas at Kings Hill, near West Malling, Kent, designs have been developed to maximise the use of brownfield land and to establish living and working communities with an urban framework to ensure that each residential and commercial phase has its proper and appropriate sense of place and identity.
