The technical delivery was required to address constraints including an active and retained ground floor commercial tenant and strict planning and client requirements.
This included a lightweight timber frame and brick slip façade, with contemporary copper roof mansard detailing. Clague worked closely with the planning authority and client to achieve the necessary planning amendment and technical approvals.
The completed property enhances the Westow Hill conservation area, creating a strong architectural composition located on an important corner plot, combining traditional facing materials with contemporary detailing and a striking copper roof.
Internally the apartments feature urban styling with exposed mechanical and electrical installations.
The project was completed in Spring 2015, and all apartments sold quickly on presentation to the market.
